The eyeliner tattoo generally lasts between 2 to 8 years however this depends on your skin’s chemistry, hormones, active ingredients in your skincare, whitening products and excessive exposure to UV rays.

Pre-Treatment

  • 7 days prior to having your Eyeliner tattoo appointment it’s recommended to avoid alcohol and Voltaren.
  • Please note: If you had any recent anti-wrinkle injections it’s recommended a month after your treatment before we can commence any eyeliner tattoo.

Eyeliner Tattoo Post Treatment

  • The eye area will be a little tender and swollen usually the first 1 to 2 days.
  • The pigment is most dramatic 24 to 48 hours after the initial treatment.
  • The skin on the tattoo will then start to dry and peel within 7 days.
  • The colour will then fade 30 to 50%.

Eyeliner Tattoo Aftercare

  • Aftercare is minimal. Refrain from touching the area with fingertips and apply a nourishing cream 3 times daily.
  • Avoid make-up on the tattoo area for up to 7 days. Balms are ok such as Vaseline.
  • It is also important to avoid exfoliants, oils, cleansers at least 7 days.
  • A retouch appointment is recommended within 6-8 weeks as this ensures the colour to look crisp and also correct any colour inconsistencies or an opportunity to make any minor changes. After both sessions, you should expect your tattoo to fade anywhere from 25 -50%
